The place to be free

What a view! A vacation at the quiet Thalguter leaves nothing to be desired. For one thing, you’ll sleep like a log in our rooms or apartments. On the other hand, you can marvel at the beauty of the surroundings day after day: mountains on the horizon, the town of Merano at your feet, green meadows all around and you right in the middle. The view sweeps far and wide, peace spreads through you and although the hustle and bustle is far away, adventures are always close by.

Walking into the spa town: Hello, Merano!

The roofs of Merano greet you almost around the corner of our rooms and apartments, and the Algunder Waalweg trail invites you to visit the town on foot. The flat path, which is also suitable for smaller and less experienced hikers, is directly connected to our house. Once in Merano, the famous Tappeinerweg trail leads right into the heart of the spa town. And it has it all!

Shopping pleasure and thermal warmth

Merano’s historic arcades with their pretty Italian boutiques, international stores, traditional South Tyrolean shops and lively cafés are always worth a visit. A statue of empress Elisabeth sits enthroned in “Sissi Park” and the historic Kurhaus makes everyone’s head turn on the promenade. A visit to the Merano Thermal Baths with its large park, all kinds of pools, sauna area and range of massages is almost a must. If you fancy something new, take the chairlift to Dorf Tirol. Shhh: Ice-cream and cakes are also available in the town on the river Passer, but when it comes to the art of sweet baking, Algund is in no way inferior!

Who wants to go higher?

Not only Merano is close by, the mountains are within reach as well. The biking and hiking area on three levels is perfectly accessible from your vacation home. Wine trail, Aschbach, Leiter Alm, Felsenweg, Merano High Mountain trail… The mountains are calling!
